Work introduction
Performed for the first time on 29 December 2004 in the basilica of San Pancrazio in Rome, the piece was part of a commission of "a Mass for Christmas Eve 2004" to five composers by the cultural association Musica e Arte. The form of the piece is tripartite, where the initial and final parts are written with a minimal technique while the central part is written using techniques from the second half of the 20th century. The aim was to give prominence to both writings by building a container and an expressive content.
