Work introduction
The IV Percussion Solos were created with the aim of looking for a new side of some of the most important solo percussion instruments. With a deep relationship with our bodily and vocal physicality, I wanted to express my corporal esthetic ideas for solo percussion and they have served as the basis of my aesthetic thinking for orchestral and chamber works. This four solos are devoted to the most relevant percussion instruments of nowadays, such as the vibraphone, the marimba, our body and the snare drum. They can be played as a compendium of unity pieces in free order or as independent solo pieces.
