Work introduction
Interferente was composed in the context of the TIMSONIA Festival, during which the first audition took place due to the ATEM Ensemble (Cristian Miclea, Cristina Malancioiu, Victor Andrei Parau) in collaboration with Martin Wistinghausen; the concert took place on November 22, 2018. The second edition of the TIMSONIA festival had the theme Interferences, hence the idea of a work in which Eminescu's philosophical thinking is complemented by the reflections of another romantic poet: Friedrich Hölderlin.
Interferente is based on the tension resulting from the opposition of polar pairs such as: slow - fast, suspended temporality versus linear temporality, exploration of the low register versus the acute register, opposition of structures with different sound densities. The lyricism characteristic of some sections is manifested due to the melodic trajectories that favor the sixth, an interval that becomes important in many harmonic conglomerates.
