Work introduction
The language used throughout the piece is one of a modal nature, with influences from Turkish music. The melodic element prevails, being highlighted by the contrasting middle section - in which pizzicato sounds are suggested - the melodic continuity being interrupted. The end of the piece brings back the importance of the melodic factor, in the high register; it suggests the opening of a new sonic dimension, which continues in the listener's consciousness.
