Work introduction
Originally written for piano, this version for strings creates a subtle texture using the instrumental voices. (There is also a version for cello quartet and for string quartet.)
The piece is very dear to me because it is always able, as an aide-memoire, to tune my inner self.
It is included on the CD The Unnamed Source (2010) on the Navona Records label (NV5832), featuring a moving performance by instrumentalists from the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra.
