Romanze (Der Vollmond strahlt auf Bergeshöh’n) from Schubert’s Rosamunde (D. 797, No. 3) is a lyrical and melancholic piece, originally composed in 1823 for soprano and orchestra. Its flowing melody and rich harmonic textures create a dreamlike atmosphere, characteristic of Schubert’s Romantic style. I have arranged a short version for voice and guitar, adapting the orchestral accompaniment to the guitar while preserving the song’s delicate expressiveness and intimate charm. The recording of this can be found in the Duo Ausma’s album “Ninghe, Ninghe”.
