Work introduction
The Study for Tom Tom and Temple-blocks is based on the rhythmic figures of the Sardinian musical tradition: figures in continuous intensification and relaxation. The marked accents approach and move away, the interventions of the Temple-blocks become ever closer and then move away ... There are two moments of "climax of intensity": the first at the end of the twelfth staff (the fortissimo on the reel of the Tom Grave); the second on the reel of Tom Grave with increasingly rapid rhythmic figures of Tom Acuto (intensification), which reaches its climax at the end of the fourteenth staff.
