Work introduction
Stream, like several other works of this period, was written for the Festival Forfest Czech Republic, and premiered there by the composer and his wife, Dolly Eugenio Kessner, in the Archbishop's Castle in 2002. In four continuous movements, its point of departure is a mysterious, somewhat Chopinesque theme, which serves as a point of return at important moments later in the piece.
The softer, gentler sounds of the alto and bass flutes blend and balance especially well with the delicate sonority of the harpsichord.
What is necessary to perform this work?
The "separate part for harpsichord" is simply a full score.
