Suflolipicius

In this work I want to create a character - Suflolipicius - whose sole purpose is to turn inspired air into music. We will follow Suflolipicius in three states: in an exuberant, guiding state, integrating the experience of hiccups into the musical discourse; then, in a contrasting, interiorised state. In the last part of the work Suflolipicius will try to give a new meaning to the term "TRENdy": "to make like the train". So we have a tripartite work:

1. Hiccupici
2. Clicky & Freaky
3. TRENdy

in which the soloist flute has a changing relationship to the rest of the ensemble.

The work is dedicated to the ROMANIAN FLUTE ENSEMBLE, coordinated by Matei Ioachimescu.
