Work introduction
The suite was written for sopranino, soprano, alto and tenor recorders, as well as for the Renaissance instrument cornamuse or bagpipe horn, baroque cello and harpsichord.
What is necessary to perform this work?
I Ode - Sopranino, Soprano Recorders (simultaneously)
II Air - Alto Recorder
III Allemande - Tenor Recorder
IV Toccata - Cornamuse, Reed-pipe (Kortholt, Crumhorn) or any kind of double reed instrument ranging the same octave or octave lower. Initially, there are two different instruments, but it is possible to adapt this part for just one.
Baroque cello tuning - I-Ab, II-Db, III-G, IV-C (cello part is written in scordatura)
