Work introduction
Tevana - the Garden of Joy - is a tripartite piece:
- Monojoy
- Silent embrace
- Whirling
Each part of the piece tries to capture an aspect of joy: the first part - Monojoy - the joy found in the bosom of monotony, the second part - Silent Embrace - the joy found in the garden of stillness, the last part - Whirling - the joy that arises in the midst of intense activity.
Tevana - the Garden of Joy - was dedicated to Matei Ioachimescu, Alfredo Ovalles, Irina Radulescu and Razvan Florescu. The work was presented for the first time during MERIDIAN International Festival in the Hall of the Cantacuzino Palace of the George Enescu National Museum on November 6, 2019. The first audition of the piece benefited from the presence of dancer Cristina Lilienfeld, who completed the picture of sonic joy.
