Work introduction
The Moon Strings Her Beams is dedicated to a Latvian conductor Arnolds Skride and his musically gifted daughters, Baiba Skride (violinist), Linda Skride (violist), and Lauma Skride (pianist). The idea is based on the philosophical and eloquent words of Aspasia, one of Latvia's finest poets, and shares the same title as a Latvian choir song by Emils Darzins.
