The Toccata for Organ was suddenly created after No. 2 of the Three Pieces for organ was ready.
Instead of an organ with three manuals, I have now limited myself to an organ with two manuals. - NB The accompanying recording was made with a three-manual organ. - So each organist is free to choose his own registration interpretation.
The tone material is based on a hybrid use of the Bartok scale, the full tone scale and minor. In the middle of the piece I briefly quote myself from 'Hidden in her Light for orchestra'.
It is also also a tribute to Bach, bar 29 and further; and in the middle of the piece I briefly quote myself from 'Hidden in Her Light for orchestra'.
