Work introduction
The six pieces combined to a cycle «Lunar Clover», «The Chandelier», «The Horizon», «The Darkness», «The Pulsar» and «Uproar In The Belfry» form the first self-contained section of a book of oracles for the piano in 21 parts. The single pieces outline six fundamental pictures cast in sound: moonlight, soil, wind, water, stars and bells. In every piece, these archetypes are raising to the surface in varying degree. On the one hand the titles of the movements anticipate their musical contents as allusions to the fundamental images, on the other hand the movements are traced by an obscure mysteriousness: the music is replete with changes striving towards balance. Its silhouettes pupate in phantasmagorias—finding space for the auditor to listen to its murky secrets. The oracle is to be consulted.
The first book of oracles was written in the summer of 2018 and is cordially dedicated to Richard Dünser.
