Work introduction
There was a poem, an idea, a fragmented idea
a fragmented idea from ancient times,
so fragmented that not much of an idea is left,
but a torso.
The torso of an idea,
A torso by Simonides
... sky ... sea ... blast of black ...
empty both of men and (of Gods) ... goat-legged divinity!
...keeps mouth closed and uttering no sound... (sleep?)...
he sang about ...
and to us ...
truth ... the god at once ... clear notes ... divine...
Whenever I... undefiled sacrifices... sweet ...
pouring libation...
And yet, there is an idea behind it! Perhaps even a poem.
Which was there at one time and has to be found again.
I am searching for it. Using my imagination as a tool.
So that it speaks again.
