Work introduction
The composition begins with the Allegro assai in B flat "KV 95 by W.A.Mozart.
“Dissolution” refers to a solution to the incomplete composition by Mozart and also to a resolution of the theme from the Allegro Assai.
As rhythmically concise as it begins here in the Mozartian style, this theme flows through all possible variations, repeatedly questioning itself, towards the ecstatic dissolution of itself. When composing, I kept asking myself what is actually being dissolved here: the theme of Mozart or my own compositional style?
This is followed by a variant on the theme from the Adagio in F, which is not heard here in the original. This composition could be understood as a musing on the Mozartian instrumental melody.
In the work "Resolution" I paid particular attention to the color mix of the instruments.
At the end the theme of the Allegro assai flashes again, like a little grotesque memory of the original work.
