Work introduction
‘Folio Quattordici (One Sheet Fake Blues)’ was written in 2024 and, inspired by the piano blues of the genre's origins, uses some of its typical stylistic features. It therefore deliberately poses as a genre ‘fake’ and gives vent to a decades-long passion for piano blues, in all its different meanings ... A single Chorus which, as the subtitle reminds us, should be contained on a single page but which, for the sake of editorial efficiency, has been arranged in two.
