Work introduction
An investigation of the boundary between musical parameters that dissolve in a flow of harmonies and colors in which the individual elements blend together.
The piece is based on the technique of the “crossed hands” in a rapid whirlwind of isochronous notes. Through the overlapping of different series of harmonics the listener is given the sensation of a piano rich in resonance, with a dense and well-defined sound.
The aspect of the metric division of the rapid sections is constructed in such a way that, although the minimum rhythmic value is clearly perceptible, the general sense of time remains suspended.
This last consideration refers to the time aiòn described by Plato: a time without beginning and without end, eternal.
