A collection of pieces for violin, clarinet and piano inspired by the monologue "Anna Lucia" written by Maria Carla Curia. The text narrates, in an imaginative setting, the biography of the famous Neapolitan soprano Anna Lucia De Amicis (1733-1816). The old Maestro Nenè (fictional character), shaken by the news of the singer's death, is overwhelmed by a flood of memories concerning the life of the diva, including her encounters with J. C. Bach, Metastasio, Mozart. Personal harpsichordist of Anna Lucia since her beginning on the scene, he has always been secretly in love with her. Sorrowful for the mourning but at the same embittered for having neglected his career as a soloist in pursuit of unrequited love, he manages to calm his soul only upon receiving a letter that the woman sends him post mortem that will reveal the secret that kept them away.
