Tanya Dartson, is a Canadian composer who writes works for solo piano, chamber ensembles and symphony orchestra. Tanya’s passion for composing started when she was enrolled into a classical piano performance program at a local music school, which she attended for 7 years. There, she regularly performed works of famous classical composers, as well as her own compositions at local concerts. Her symphony orchestra composition “Escape from Planet Earth” has been featured on a popular Brooklyn News 12 TV Channel in New York, and other press/media. Her music has been described as “exciting, beautiful, intense and epic” (iHeart Radio) and “uplifting and moving with memorable melodies” (Radio Horizon 93.9fm in South Africa). Tanya has a Master’s degree in International Affairs, a certificate in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and completed a course in “Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and the 19th Century Orchestra” taught by an esteemed professor at Harvard University.
