1. How would you describe your music to someone who is not familiar with it?
A Chinese composer's understanding of music.
2. What is your educational background and training in music composition?
All my music education was completed in China, but I have also had multiple experiences as a visiting scholar abroad, including in Italy, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These experiences have all influenced my music composition.
3. Why did you decide to become a composer?
Due to family reasons, I was born in the 1970s when opportunities to study music in China were scarce. However, because my mother was a music teacher, I had the opportunity to learn music and developed a passion for composition.
4. Can you walk us through your process of composing a piece?
Every time I create, once I understand "what to write" and "what vocabulary to use," the rest of the work will be not difficult.
5. What are your main sources of inspiration for composing music?
Daily accumulation and reflection.
6. In what ways has UE scodo facilitated or simplified your compositional process?
UE can help more people know my music, but it won't directly influence my creative process.
7. Who is your favorite composer or what is your favorite piece, and why?
It's too much, I can't answer. Besides, why should there be a favorite?
8. What advice do you have for aspiring composers who are just starting their careers?
Just keep writing/composing diligently.
9. In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge facing composers today?
The changes in this world are too significant and too rapid, often leaving people unsure of how to adapt.
10. What do you think one should know before becoming a composer?
One should have a good aesthetic sense.
11. What do you think each audience member should...?
Just listening is enough.

The Metropolitan Opera House,America.
14. Piano compositions or orchestral compositions?
Whether it's piano compositions or orchestral compositions, the arrangement isn't the primary factor determining the creation,so both are acceptable.
15. Composing on paper or digitally?
The creative process begins on paper, with ideas becoming clearer before being transferred to the computer.
16. Coffee or tea?
Both of them are great.
