Walter Ernst Haberl biography

Born in 1960 in Austria, he took violin, piano, vocal and theory lessons from an early age and joined the Wiener Sängerknaben. He studied guitar with Karl Scheit, Konrad Ragossnig and Manuel Barrueco. At the Mozarteum Salzburg he studied performance practice of ancient music with Nikolaus Harnoncourt. He gave concerts in Europe, Russia and South America. In addition to his various sheet music publications and guitar recordings, Haberl has been working as a music teacher since 1987 e.g. at the University for Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna, the Mozarteum Salzburg, the Junge Akademie Wien and the Webster University in Vienna.
